Not true. The hammer would not have taken it. If you would have played that hand, the random number generator would have been slightly set differently due to the timing of your bet. Therefore, the flop and last two cards would have come up differently. Just tell yourself that. Cards would have been different because you'd have hit the call/raise button at a slightly different time thus altering the space time continuom forever.
